Math Bowl

Who: Mrs. McCudden will be coaching 4th and 5th graders who would like to join Math Bowl! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at

What: Students will prepare for the math bowl competition at our after school practices. We will play math games and complete other activities to make sure we’re ready for our Math Bowl Competitions! We’ll have an in-house competition where everyone can compete as well as have 20 students go to an area competition to compete against other local elementary schools. For each competition, students will work in small groups to solve math problems and earn ribbons.

  • Practices will take place right after school in Mrs. McCudden’s room. Students will need to bring a note to school each practice to let their teacher know they are allowed to stay. They will need to be picked up at Perry Hill at 3:30pm. To help make sure kids get home safely, it will help me out if you can come inside to the front entrance lobby. Once your child sees you they will let me know, give me a high five, and be allowed to leave. Thank you in advance for taking the extra time to come inside!
  • The competition location is TBA, but it will be somewhere local. The host site will be shared with us in March. Students will need to have their own rides to and from the competition.
